Is Annette Funicello still alive or is she dead?

Annette Funicello died at Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif., from complications of various sclerosis, the report said television and film studios.

Her family told celebrity news television program "Extra" that Funicello already in a coma.

"Annette has always been and will always be a valued member of the Disney family, synonymous with the words Mousketeer, and a true Disney legend," said Bob Iger, president and CEO of Walt Disney Co, said in a statement.

"She will forever be in our hearts as one of the stars of Walt Disney's most brilliant, satisfying all the baby boomer generation 'delighted' with personality and flair nan endless," he said.

Annette Funicello first caught the public eye as a teenager in the 1950s when she was one of the original members of "The Disney Mickey Mouse Club".

annette funicello 2013 imgShe then starred in a series of beach-themed films in the 1960s including "Beach Party," "Bikini Beach" and the hit "Beach Blanket Bingo," which was released in 1965 and was accompanied by helpers star teen idol Frankie Avalon.

Later, she was remembered for bravely fight against multiple sclerosis, a crippling disease of the nervous system that she experienced in the late 1980s.

She led the vivacious singer and actress who first action depends on the stick, then the `walker 'and finally a wheelchair.
