Rihanna "THUG LIFE" Tattoo was Inspired By Tupac

Rihanna just tweeted a new tattoo with the inscription "THUG LIFE" on her fists! RiRi hit up an LA tattoo parlor yesterday to get her hardcore ink started ... it doesn't look complete in the photo she tweeted out early this morning. The term ‘Thug Life’ was inspired by the late California rapper 2pac, real name, Tupac Shakur.

Somewhere there is still hope that the tweets are to garner a reaction and maybe the tattoo is for a video treatment.

Unknown to many there is a deeper meaning, at least in Tupac’s mind about the definition of the word: “Thug Life" is the opposite of someone having all he needs to succeed. Thug life is when you have nothing, and succeed, when you have overcome all obstacles to reach your aim.” Tupac also died after being shot four times in 1996 at the age of 25.

With the information available about the ‘Man Down’ singer it doesn’t appear that her upbringing was filled with many obstacles. She was a bright student in school, recruited by Jay-Z at the age of 16 and has worked her butt off to reach her superstar status.

Interestingly, the t-shirt she was wearing while she got inked up John Lennon's face. Totally thug.

Rihanna also ran into Danny Trejo at the tattoo parlor. Hope she's not inspired by his massive piece of chest art.
