The death of singer Whitney Houston on Saturday (02.11.2012) the United States, leaving a deep sorrow for the families, relatives, and fans. The ex-husband Bobby Brown and his band 'New Edition was in shock.
"We are shocked and saddened by the death of our sister Whitney. As a group, we are very close. One member was injured, all wounded," wrote New Edition statement to TMZ, Sunday (12/02/2012).
Bobby Brown, Whitney's husband who has given one child was a member of the band.
"Although we're feeling sad, we'll continue to ask for strength from God, as we support and entertain our brothers Bobby, their daughter, Bobbi Christina and Whitney's mother Cissy Houston. We will always pray for the whole family of Brown-Houston."
Whitney and Bobby married in July 1992 after meeting at the Soul Train Music Awards in 1989. But after 14 years of housekeeping, the two decided to divorce in 2006.
