Heineken Jammin' Festival is a large live rock festival in Venice, Italy featuring international and Italian rock acts.
It started in mid-June 1998 at the Imola Autodrome and has attracted attendances of more than 100,000 over the course of the three day event. For the tenth anniversary of the festival in 2007, the location changed to Mestre, Parco San Giuliano.
Some of the featured acts have included Vasco Rossi, Depeche Mode, R.E.M., Robbie Williams, 30 Seconds to Mars, Lacuna Coil, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Garbage, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson, Santana, Pixies, Lenny Kravitz, The Cure, and Chemical Brothers.
Heineken Jammin Festival on 9th, 10th, 11th June 2011 at Parco San Giuliano
The lead acts for the 2011 Heineken Jammin’ Festival have finally been announced: 9th June COLDPLAY, 10th June NEGRAMARO and on 11th June VASCO.As in past years the kermesse musical event will take place in the striking location of Parco San Giuliano, a large green space over looking the Venice Lagoon.
The base concept is that of big rock gatherings over several days, with lots of artists following each other on the one stage for the entire afternoon as well as acclaimed headliners for the long evening concert.
Heineken Jammin’ Festival is not only music but also 360 degrees entertainment. Soccer fields, volleyball courts, basket ball courts, ice rings, areas dedicated to fine food and entertainment, a cinema and many world music stands, will all be installed ad hoc in Parco San Giuliano.
