Gavin DeGraw Hospitalized

Gavin DeGraw was “viciously assaulted by multiple attackers” in New York City late Sunday night. A source told the site that the singer, who is originally from South Fallsburgh, NY and now lives in NYC, is currently under observation at Manhattan’s Bellevue Hospital Center.

The source, noted to be in the singer’s circle, said Gavin was outnumbered by several people during the attack.

DeGraw is currently touring with Maroon 5, who pulled into New York last week for a Friday morning Today Show Summer Concert Series performance, and Train. The artists are all scheduled for a gig at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY tomorrow night.

The cause of the attack, which occurred in the city's East Village, is unknown. A representative for the 34-year-old DeGraw issued a statement saying, "Gavin DeGraw was assaulted late Sunday night and taken to the emergency room at Bellevue Hospital by ambulance. He is currently under observation."

Starting July 22, Gavin went on tour with Maroon 5 and Train, and was preparing to host a live webcast on Wednesday, according to his website. He has now cancelled a planned concert Tuesday in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
